Dingwall and Strathpeffer Tennis Club

Do you play tennis? Fancy a social knock-about, or occasional competitive game of tennis?  Then why not pop along to Dingwall & Strathpeffer Tennis club! All you need is a racquet and sturdy trainers, otherwise it’s all fairly informal. We’re a friendly crowd that meet twice a week at the tennis courts in Strathpeffer’s Pavilion Gardens, on most Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, weather permitting.

And if you want to join us and develop your game, then Stuart (LTA level 3 in coaching), can advise you on ways to improve your tennis strokes, tactics, etc. Everyone mixes in, with court time shared out as players arrive. Club members also fix up informal matches outside club times.

So if you’re new to tennis or an improver there are members and opportunities to help develop your game. And all for a small club membership fee, which helps cover running costs like insurance. We enjoy annual club competitions, fairly low key, more  tea and cakes than getting your name on the club trophy. And there are inter-club tournaments, when the keenies travel to meet and play against local tennis clubs such as Tain Tennis Club.

New members are very welcome to join the club. Visitors are also welcome to use the courts, which are located just behind the Spa Pavilion in the centre of the village. Why not join us and keep fit in beautiful surroundings?
