Strathpeffer has an active, involved and committed Community Council. Its primary purpose is to find out, collate and express the views of the community and to make local authorities and other public bodies aware of the opinions, needs and preferences of the community.Â
We welcome members of the community to our meetings which take place at 7.00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month at Strathpeffer Community Centre.
The Community Council members are all unpaid volunteers who are elected every four years. The last election was in 2023 and the Members are as follows:
Ron McAulay - Chair and Secretary
Neil Moscrop - Vice ChairÂ
Archie Macnab - Treasurer
Lorna Holland
Graham Reid
Marcus Thomson
Peter Maclellan.
While the Community Council does not have the responsibilities or resources of the Highland Council, we can help make the views of the community known and in doing so, help to influence and shape policy. Â
Contact with the Community Council can be either through any member who you know or directly to Ron McAulay – Chair and Secretary at ron.mcaulay@btopenworld.com
